No! I enjoy providing outpatient counseling to adults, adolescents, families, and couples. It's a privilege to accompany my clients on their journey to self-improvement and growth. Being a counselor allows me to develop a meaningful therapeutic relationship with clients. Providing therapy lets me use and perfect my other psychological skills outside of the standardized and scripted world of psychoeducational testing and provides me with a meaningful professional balance. I have been seeing clients in an outpatient setting as a professional counselor since 2020 in addition to my school psychology work for schools.
No! I love working with kids in the school system, but most of my counseling clients are adults and couples. It is very refreshing and rewarding to be able to work with individuals across all age groups.
I take self- pay clients and offer a “superbill” that you can submit for reimbursement to your insurance company. A superbill has all my licensing information and your client information that you can submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement. I cannot guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you for the entire balance, but I am willing to provide you with additional information that you can send to the insurance company and help with what I can upon your request.
I am paneled with most major insurance companies in Pennsylvania but filing and following up on insurance claims takes me away from the work I love: evaluations, writing reports, and seeing clients. I want to see as many clients and complete as many evaluations as possible and prefer to spend minimal time on the billing portion of owning a private practice..
Yes, I offer a sliding scale for self-pay clients who can document yearly earnings of less than $50,000. If you have questions about sliding scale or exceptions, please contact me directly. I do not offer sliding scales for clients who have insurance and can try to submit reimbursement through a superbill.
I charge $130 per therapy session. All sessions are conducted virtually and last 52 minutes.
If you do not cancel within 24 hours your credit card on file will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. I charge a fee because more often than not, I have a waiting list and clients who would like to be seen more frequently, if you cancel within 24 hours, I can offer your appointment to another client in need of services.
Currently, I only offer virtual sessions to clients, this allows me to see clients who are located anywhere in the state. I only see clients who live or are physically present in Pennsylvania for their virtual session due to licensing restrictions. If you live in a bordering state and can drive into Pennsylvania to a private location for a virtual session, that is considered being present in Pennsylvania.
